A.R.M. Holding, a Dubai-based investment house, is the new sponsor of the G2 Debutante S. at The Curragh, the racecourse announced on Monday. Slated for Aug. 22, the seven-furlong contest for 2-year-old fillies will carry a purse of €130,000. A.R.M. is chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The race has been won by some of the best juvenile fillies in Europe and the 2019 victress was the Jessica Harrington-trained Alpine Star (Ire) (Sea The Moon {Ger}), owned by Niarchos Racing. She is one of the leading contenders for the Classics this term.

“The sponsorship of the Debutante S. and the association with one of the leading racecourses in the world is in line with our corporate vision to promote community engagement through sports and culture, both on a local and international level,” said Mohammad Al-Shehhi, CEO of A.R.M. Holding. “Associating ourselves with world-class events furthers our positioning and relevance to global audiences. His Highness our Chairman is an avid sportsman and supporter of equestrian sports, and we are pleased to be supporting The Curragh's Debutante S.”

Evan Arkwright Racing and Sponsorship Manager of The Curragh added, “On behalf of The Curragh, I would like to thank His Highness Sheikh Ahmad bin Rashid Al Maktoum and A.R.M. Holding for agreeing to extend his association with The Curragh, having supported the Jebel Ali Racecourse and Stables Anglesey S. since 2009. The sponsorship will ensure both races continue to be an important stepping stone for future champions.”
